Victorian pub offering cask ales, lunchtime meals and conversation. It’s at the top of the main street, just past St Anne’s church, and was extensively renovated and improved in 2024 by Valliant Pubs. There is a lounge bar with four handpulls, serving mainly local ales, and a pleasant secluded beer garden at the back. It offers light meals, ciabattas, wraps and baked potatoes during the day. A cask ales loyalty card is available. The pub is set for conversation, with no TV screens or piped music, and social activities such as quizzes, dominoes and crib. Live music is provided by solo or duo artists.
